The Valencian Community faces days marked by rain, storms and wind, in an episode that will bring changeable weather between Thursday and Saturday and a more stable situation from Sunday onwards.
With the arrival of a cold front to the Peninsula, AEMET activates warnings in the north of Castellón and forecasts more frequent showers in the northern half, while the west and northwest wind will be the main feature, especially inland.
AEMET warnings for rain and storms
The coast and the northern interior of Castellón remain in Yellow alert for rain and storms during the early hours and morning of Thursday, with the capacity to accumulate around 20 l/m² in one hour and likely hailstorms.
The probability of these phenomena is between 40% and 70%, with a greater incidence in the regions of Els Ports and Baix Maestrat, where Storms may produce electrical activity and strong gusts of wind.
This episode is associated with the passage of a very active Atlantic front crossing the Peninsula. A secondary low-pressure system could form at the front over the Mediterranean, injecting maritime air for a few hours towards the north of Castellón.
