The Canary Islands face a thermal respite After several days of intense heat, daytime temperatures are set to drop across the archipelago, with the most noticeable decline in the midlands and southern slopes. Although the decline is noticeable, high maximum temperatures will continue to be recorded in some inland areas.
The arrival of the trade winds and atmospheric stabilization They are favoring a more bearable atmosphere, with generally clear skies and occasional low clouds on the northern coasts. Light haze will persist at altitude, more pronounced in the mid- and high-altitude areas, but with a tendency to gradually subside.

Self-protection tipsAvoid exertion during peak hours, hydrate frequently, use sunscreen, and keep doors and windows closed in the presence of airborne dust. Pay special attention to the elderly, children, and those with respiratory or chronic illnesses.
Fire prevention: Do not throw cigarette butts or matches, avoid fireworks and any activity involving fire in risk areas, keep the areas around homes and plots free of dry vegetation, observe restrictions in forest areas, and, in case of smoke or fire, call 112 immediately.
Next evolution
The AEMET predicts that thermal relief continue over the next few days, with maximum temperatures more in line with the dates. A slight increase of 1-2°C is expected over the weekend, without reaching the extremes of previous days thanks to the predominance of trade winds and the lower dust load at altitude.
