Drones are unmanned aircraft that are being manufactured and tested in a multitude of areas, such as leisure or professional use. We've recently started hearing about weather drones , and more and more people are deciding to buy one.
These "airplanes" can be not only very entertaining for the amateur, but also useful when studying meteorological phenomena, facilitating and improving the forecasting of snowfalls , tornadoes or earthquakes.

Uses of home weather drones
The weather drone for private use can be used both for taking photos and videos on sunny days. Unfortunately, on foggy days for safety reasons, we will not be able to use it, as it could be lost or cause some damage.
Requirements that apply in Spain
In this country there is no law that tells us exactly when and where we can use our drone. But they do make us meet certain requirements both when acquiring it and when using it. Namely:
- Have more than 18 years
- The drone must have an identification label
- The maximum distance you can fly is 500 meters (although it is recommended that you do not exceed 120 meters so that they do not collide with airplanes)
- For those who weigh between 2 and 25kg, the distance will be indicated
However, it is important to keep in mind that, to avoid problems, we need to avoid using it in populated areas , airports, shopping centers, and in general in places where there may be a large concentration of people, or where our drone could get lost.
These little planes can make us have great moments and enjoy the weather in a special way if they are used properly. But there is still something else that I want to tell you ...
Wing project
Wing Project - Sydney Morning Herald
These devices can be crucial when it comes to saving lives. Google itself unveiled its own drone, which, if all tests are successful, will be used in the near future to deliver supplies and necessary medications to people stranded after a natural disaster. Known as Project Wing , it was initially intended to serve as an air ambulance, urgently delivering defibrillators to victims experiencing a heart attack. However, after the latest tests in Australia, experts observed that the drones easily accessed remote areas of the continent.
It's surprising, right?
