We are in a few months where the Atlantic and Pacific oceans are being the scene of several and very intense cyclones this year. The temperature of the waters is giving great force to hurricanes, called typhoons in Asia, and it would not be surprising if, as time goes by, they are forming more and more.
Not long ago we were talking about Irma, a Category 5 hurricane that caused significant damage as it passed through the Caribbean and Florida. Well, as if it were a horror movie, now it is Japan that has to take the necessary measures to protect its people, since Typhoon Talim is on its way to being the »Irma» Japanese.
Typhoon Talim, the 3th of the Pacific cyclone season, which has been strengthening in the China Sea in the last 11 days, made landfall in Japan yesterday at 30:2.30 local time (XNUMX GMT) in the city of Minami-kyushu, at the southern tip of the southern island of Kyushu. There, has left copious rains and winds of more than 130km / h.
For security, issued an evacuation order for 448 people in various areas of the towns of Kumamoto and Myzaki, and for about 640.000 residents in other cities of the archipelago. They had to do it: the typhoon, which is moving at about 30km / h in a northeast direction towards the island of Shikoku, would reach the city of Nichinan, in the southeast of the island of Kysuhu at 13.50:4.50 p.m. (XNUMX GMT).

At the moment, more than 770 domestic flights have had to be canceled, and some high-speed sections, as well as local train and ferry service have had to be suspended. The southern half of the country remains on alert for heavy rains, overflows and landslides, in addition to high waves that the typhoon could cause. This phenomenon, similar to other extreme weather events, such as hurricanes and typhoons, has shown its most destructive face in Japan.
