Today's photo collection belongs to the winners of a photographic contest that the Australian government has organized every year since 1985 with the aim of bringing together images on a calendar that show the diversity of its climate as well as its Wonderful views. Lake Eyre, a powerful storm in Queensland, a thunderstorm in Darwin, the floods in Channel Country and a double Rainbow on the beach of Wombarra are some of the meteorological phenomena protagonists of the 2012 edition.
Next, we bring you just a small sample of the photos that make up the Complete calendar, which can be purchased from the Australian Government Office of Meteorology website. A true gem for lovers of the country and for those who know how to appreciate the value of a good photograph and a beautiful wild landscape.
